I ended up punching the part numbers into Amazon. Got almost all the same bits. And free shipping. Ended up being cheaper than rockauto, that's taking into account the GST too.

Which Amazon? .com or .au?
Gov ruined Amazon for us too.

They usually will not ship larger items here, shopping for more than a few things becomes a pain as fulfilment can be done by more than one party resulting in split shipments etc.

If you need to return something, amazon.com.au will give you a $30 AUD or $33 refund when they receive the item in the USA and demand it be returned with tracking and covered in labels that are insufficient for austpost or customs meaning you need to fill out a form at the post office (PITA). Any amount over allowance is on you, i returned a small 240gram package not so long ago, cost the better part of $50 in postage. God forbid you actually attempt to return anything substantive.

I like shopping for all my jeepin needs under one roof, having said that even RA get a little silly with orders, you order A and B and they ship from the same location, add C and now A and C ship from the same but B ships from different location and that means multiple shipments and additional shipping expenses. This and the 1985 website design were my only complaints about RA, i will miss being able to directly order with them, shipping direct. They would ship a whole dang Jeep if it was in the catalog, something fewer and fewer companies are willing do or charge a small fortune for.

The other thing with Rockauto was I could use one site to order for my Jeep, Valiant, Falcon and BMW. Try that with anyone else!

Sounds like there are still some good options out there.

I have used Summit Racing heaps of times. Website is good, the shipping calculator is instant, and the prices are sometimes more, sometimes less than Rockauto. I have had two full sets of rims (5) sent from them.

Now, Amazon sounds like a good option too. Just get part numbers, look for aftermarket or original options, use multiple websites and then compare to local prices.
Rockauto will probably come on board soon enough. Dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century. They need to get rid of the IT department they have been using since Windows 98 and get up with the times. Successful businesses need to be at the forefront of change.. not lag behind by 20 years..

Cheers,
