Default JK Xenon Stepdown Flares

Any one got the Xenon step-down flares on their JK I'm looking at them as the look standard & shouldn't attract the anti fun police, they give an extra 1.6" of coverage & should cover my 35's, I dont want the flat panel flares as they make the jeep look modified & up in Qld the more stock it looks the better

TassieMav put them on and did a bit of a review http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...ighlight=xenon

I don't think you'll get an extra 1.6" of coverage though, he said he didn't.

DBOR used to have some of their own that looked OEM but wider, it looks like they stopped those to concentrate on their flatties. Would be nice if they still offered them.

The DBOR "wider than factory - but factory looking" were fantastc if you wanted to keep the stock look - which i do.

They were also super flexy, there was some video of them being driven over somewhere IIRC. However the extreme flexability apparently made them an absolute !@#$%^ to manufacture and they were discontinued for that reason.
I think the moulds are still around but it would take a LOT of persuading for any more sets to be made.

I've got one of the few sets made and will be fitting the rears in the next few weeks as i just don't seem to be able to keep the standard flares from ripping off when mud builds up inside the wheel arches. The stock plastic clips aren't too bad, but the T shaped holes in the stock flares just make it too easy for them to get pulled off.
