Default 1995 XJ sport on E10

Can I run my XJ on that E10 stuff? I heard its cheaper but want some feedback from the XJ pro's.

Its designed to run on 10% Ethonol but I have tried it and didnt like it. Its seems to boil easier in the fuel rail when the motor is turned off.

I have run it a fair bit on my dual fuel XJ, have not had any issues.

I used it for a while and wasn't impressed. My XJ used quite a bit more than standard.
Haven't tried premium as yet.

try it and see what you think, just listen out for pinging especially under load in top gear

do the test fill your tank note the cost then see how far you go

try premium do the same test (may take a couple of tanks)

do the math and see how many k,s you get to the dollar

you will soon determine what your car likes

according to Chrysler you can. Certainly more prone to pinging (pre igniting) also more likely to suffer vapourising problems at the injectors. You will use more fuel and your idle will be rougher. Whether any of those things are an issue to you.........

I haven't tried it in my XJ, but I wonder why peolpe use it when it is only a couple of cents/litre cheaper, and most feedback is that you use more as well.
Maybe if it was 50 cpl cheaper I'd have a look!
