Default A/C discharge hose

The princess's 03 CRD needs a new discharge hose to get the A/C working for summer. My auto electrician is waiting for prices, so I thought Id have a look at prices on the net.

I gather from my limited research that the 2.8 CRD didnt come out in the states?

Does anyone have the part number for the discharge hose?

The 2.8 CRD was sold in the States, but only with the auto gearbox. So most parts are available unless they are specific to the manual e.g. clutch bits.

Thankyou very much gentlemen.

After two days and 4 phone calls, my sparky still hasnt got a price from the localish Jeep place. He's not very impressed to say the least.

Can anyone share the best places to try and get one from either the States or in Australia?

I plugged that part number into one of the big US online parts suppliers (Moparpartsonline) and their search engine failed to find it. This may mean they don't stock it because its a RHD part. I would think that a good auto AC guy could just make one up, after all its just a pipe with some bends in it. I'd find an auto AC guy to look at it. Why pay Jeep Australia inflated prices for something that a AC guy can do for $50 (my humble estimate).

Try Chris Watson [Chris@stockill.com] at Stockill Motors, Hull, England. The actual contact there is Paul Kwiatowski in the spares department - he got me a clutch when Jeep Australia failed dismally. Phone +44 1482 330468, just remember the time difference!
