Default WH reliability?

Hey guys and girls

How do people find the reliability of the WH grand? I have the 5.7 hemi, i have had it for just under 3 weeks and so far the airbag light is on and now the gearbox is playing up. I find this a bit ridiculous. Is this just a bit of bad luck or is this standard for these cars? I previously had a wg overland and found it had a few little dramas but nothing like this. I love driving this car but if it continues this way i think i will have to sell it and move on im afraid.

That's very disappointing to hear lucask. Jeep have had over 5 years now to work on this model and they are still having problems.

I can't say its a one off as I have read many posts over the years similar to yours. I think I had the "service 4wd" light come on once a week for two years and Jeep still couldn't fix the problem in that time.

Yes it is disappointing & annoying us both. This car was meant to make life easier, not bloody harder!

I've been the not so proud owner of 2 WH Grands:
1. 2007 Grand Cherokee CRD Limited and,
2. 2007 Grand Cherokee 5.7 Hemi Limited.

Both vehicles had endless trips to the Dealership for issues which just should not have ever been issues. Way too many to list here. The Hemi was a Dealership swap for the issues experienced with the CRD. Only experienced new issues with the Hemi so I bailed out of JEEP September 2009.

Coincidentaly bumped into the new owner of the CRD who was selling it because of ongoing issues.

Chrysler-Jeep seem to be the new Daewoo these days.
