Lightbulb Solutions for JK on 35inch tyres

looking at getting an 09 jk 4 door manual v6 with 35 inch tyres. Apparently the fuel consumption has gone up since putting the 35 inch tyres on. Just wondering if anyone else can tell me what their fuel consumption change was since putting 35inch tyres on?

Can someone give me a rough estimate what it may cost to regear the diffs and a good place around Melbourne to get this done? are there any other solutions to this?

We sell the gear you need here in Melb and Matt at Total Traction or Cammo at Cammos Offroad can do the install no probs.
We are also doing 10% off our ring and pinions at the moment

was getting 13 to 16 L per 100km's on 35's with no regear. Auto petrol.

4.88's make a big difference

thanks mate, where can i get prices from? I assume a 4.56 would be the ideal ratio for 35s on a petrol manual...

i didnt find a massive fuel increase going to 35's but it does slurp a little more and again depends how you drive the thing. Using same gearing means you are more likely to to use the go pedal a little more to get it going at the same rate so you will use more fuel.

Also, 35's as mentioned will throw your speedo out and therefore your on board ecomomy reading. In actual fact it will be better than what it is stating as you have travelled further than the odemeter reading has given you. Not sure on the % but it is better than it shows due to this
