Default WH CRD rumbling noise in front end

I have a 2005 WH CRD that has started with a rumbling in the front end around 100km/h. If I speed up to 110 km/h or go below about 85 km/h it seems to go away.
At first I thought it could have been engine related but I have put the transmission in neutral while going downhill at 100km/h and the noise still remained constant even though the engine has spooled back to idle.

I have also discounted tire noise but putting a different set of tires on with no change to the noise.

Any ideas?

Default I just registered too

I have an 05 WH CRD bought new Feb 06. Now have 110 thou on it. I have been to Cameron Corner, Birdsville, Poppel Corner, Burketown, Kurumba/Normanton,
Arakun and the Cape towing a mid size camper trailer and have had no issues of major note. Air con compressor failure and an annoying warning coming up saying 'service park assist'. Both of these were easily fixed by the dealer at no cost as the a/c was in warranty and the other problem had been mentioned to them before the expiry of the warranty.
previous jeeps I have had (CJ3 & CJ6) both developed noises in the transfer case and one had front diff issues related to nil oil from previous owner.
