Default UHF CBs
Hi I purchasd a UHF the other week thinking the air waves would be like in the 80s where everyone just about had a 27mg and it was hard to find a free channel. However it appears these days, here in SA at least you are scratching to find anyone to have a yack to.

Has everyone lost interest or are people just using them on club meets?

Yeah, pretty much found the same thing, everyone uses the net these days! Fortunately mine has additional programmable scan channels and I can listen to the local Police radios to keep me amused

You can, but of course you wouldn't, as none of us would as that would be illegal. LOL

Guys used to go up to sky look-out to chat on CB, best reception up there, dont know if they still do.Sky is also a favourite make out spot, lol.

Yeah I use mine when on the road... country roads I am set to channel 40... but there is little to no chatter on there... in the city I either have it off or on scan... in Perth channel 3 and 4 are used a bit but mainly crap to be honest...

Na, actually quite legal to listen, just not legal to use any information heard to your advantage. Avoiding the street where a domestic is going down (a very serious one with weapons involved) I didnt think anyone would mind

Besides, you can listen to them all online now anyways, if it was illegal they would have been shut down long ago - heres a link to the Sunshine Coast Police network

Besides theres nothing else to listen to except the odd truckie swearing about some idiot car driver (strange they never seem to complain about all the idiot truck drivers....)
