Default Steering shaft touching brake lines

hey i was looking at my steering shaft today (from firewall to box) and i noticed as i held the shaft and turned it back and forth i could hear a knocking sound, so i looked around and noticed that the uni-joint closest to the steering box was hitting the brake lines that ran along side of the joint, the lines seem hard up against the body in the plastic clip and the shaft seems to be straight...anyone else got this ? maybe just have a quick look and let me know. it goes in on friday for the recall so i will get them to check it out but i would like to know if anyone else has this or just me ??

There is a TSB on this, they should fix it up for you.

Got me curious.... I can see exactly what you mean, but I have about 5 to 8mm clearance between the uni and the groups of brake lines. However, the brake lines are fitted to the inner mudguard and the steering box is on the chassis, so maybe there is a little misalignment of the body on the chassis in yours?

Definately would get it checked out asap.
