Default Headlight adjustment JK

How do you adjust the headlight levels??? Yes, I can use the 3 position switch on the dash for overall height, but the left is higher than the right.

Found on a US forum a link to the torx15 screws on the front, the US have the vertical adjusters and not the horizontal (as they dont have the flick up to the passenger side) but ours with the electric adjusters only have the horizontal ones and not the vertical ones.. WTF?

There has to be another adjuster somewhere to balance them out surely?

You absolute bloody legend!!!! Been looking for how to do that for weeks! All of 30 seconds and they are now even... Sheesh!

Just in case anyone else comes across this thread when searching, here is one of the pics Tojoconvert provided. This one is looking at the passenger side headlight from the left of the vehicle - simply turn the white knob.... too bloody easy!

My pleasure The reason I found out about it was I was of sick of my lights lighting up the sky at night and not the road

Now after screwing around with the torx's on the front for a while I notice I have managed to make it almost crosseyed...!

Now I will need to find a nice wharehouse wall or something so I can line everything up left to right as well. Just stuck some new lights on the bar, one pencil one spread, and with the vehicle level I used a spirit level to get them vertical, then stuck the level between the lights hard up against the front faces (which are flat) and aligned them with each other. Went for a test drive and absolutely perfect first go! At least the spot will give me an alignment mark for the headlights now

hahahh

do you have a garage?

Park back from a level wall....measure the height of the top of your lights.

Then project a line to the garage wall (paver, concrete, paint line?)and mark the same point but drop 25mm. Do the same for the other light and measure the distance between the two +'s you made on the wall. This double checks the centrelines are the correct distance apart.

Adjust if needed.

Then high beam it and adjust the lights till the centre of the two beams match the centre of the two +'s. Flick to low and ensure the cuttoff line is equal, adjust fine if necessary.

Too easy!

Matt.

LOL... Yeah, I do but cant fit anything in there from all the cr@p the missus has replaced in the house... hence needing a wharehouse wall Unfortunatley the driveway is not level enough
