No.

Maxflex are made by Dobinsons.

Suspensionstuff Ultra Flexy coils are made by King Springs using their X5X Micro-alloy steel which is produced here in Australia by Onesteel and at ride height provide a linear spring rate with a progressive flexy part (tapered wire) to keep the coil seated on articulation. The linear section is designed not bind on full compression which extends the lifespan of the spring.

QLD flexy coil spam

Suspensionstuff still use Dobinsons for their entry level flexy spring.

I think it is great that both Maxflex and Suspensionstuff are offering this range of coils to our market particularly for the heights under 3" and the extra weight of the CRD engine.

Yom,
I think these coils have set a new benchmark that others will have to step up.

Do you know if they can be purchased yet?

Mate, Australians have been setting the benchmark for coils for a long time! Look at how respected Old Man Emu are all around the world.

Both Kings and Dobinsons have a long history in suspension solutions for normal guys like us, ricers, racers, etc and both are great QLD companies making a variety of products for certain uses. You will find Kings and Dobinsons provide the product for the majority of coil resellers around Australia (they simply make up the springs to suit the reseller's specifications and paint them in the required colour).

All the coils from Maxflex and SuspensionStuff can be purchased AFAIK - both these guys are more than happy to talk to you about what you want from the coils and what ride height you wish to achieve. All you have to do is call...

Mate I'm as patriotic as the next guy, but I think the discussion has moved beyond if Australian made coils are good (of course they are). We are now at the discussion of which Australian made coils are the best. After reading some disparaging remarks about OME and others I'm looking for something better. I'm not heartened by reading that some people have taken out their OME springs to replace them with yank springs and others who have taken out their Kings (not the flexy) or Lovells because they are too stiff (hello Seacoms are you out there?).
