Default wet carpets. Pass side only.

Hi all, new to this forum and jeep ownership.
Picked up a 04 Cherokee LTD yesterday for the better half to fang about in.
Lovely vehicle, all the trimmings.
Bit sluggish in all honesty. But then, my other car is a 200kwatw Subaru.

Anyway enough chat, there was a significant amount of moisture on the underside of the passenger rear floormat. The Drivers side carpets are all clean.
It hasnt been raining.

I suspect the drain tube for the A/C condensor is evacuating under the carpet.
Being new to Jeeps, is this a likely culprit?
Happened before?

Thanks, great forum this been reading for hours.... especially the Fuel economy thread. Joy.

The AC drain tube is attached to the firewall on the passenger side, and normally drains off under the vehicle . There have been some instances of the tube coming loose and draining into the passenger side footwell carpet. So your on the right track.

There is another possibility.

On some occasions, a leak can develop at the bottom of the windsreen on the passenger side. I don't know what causes this, but I remember reading about this on the LOST forum.
