A while back another KJ owner was telling me that his steering wheel colour was starting to go off or wear through in certain places. I have now noticed that my leather on the wheel is also starting to either fade slightly or wear. I was researching options for either recolouring the existing leather or getting a leather cover. I ran across this mob in California that make leather steering wheel covers to fit over original wheels of various makes. They look good.

Their drop down order box can specify the Jeep Liberty (Cherokee US model designation). I ordered one. If anyone else considered doing so keep in mind that the KJ to KK series model year change over was different in the US and Australia. In the US they did not sell any KJs as 2007 models, as only export stock was being produced in early 2007, and their 2007s are KKs. So if you order from them, pick the 2002-2006 Liberty as this will be the KJ. The product number is AXX.
I ordered the solid black but there are two-tone and other options that might appeal to you.
I am not endorsing them or the product, and I haven't received my order yet so I can't comment on the quality or fit now. I will report back when I get it.
