Default Pre update bullbar on post update xj??

I want to get a pre update arb bar for my 00' XJ for the clearance on the front wheel arches.. Are they compatible?

It'll bolt on but you'll have to cut the guards as the post update guards are already cut and the bullbar goes where the guard was. That's why the pre update bar is used on updates with big tyres as the bar doesn't come around the sides so far as the preupdate has the lower section of the guards in the way.

please.. i have an 01 cherokee.. and want to fit an arb style bar.. will a pre update fit.. im running 31x10.5's... ..??

Pre Update will fit easy as it doesn't come as far around the sides as the post update bar. There is more clearance than stock guards. Are you running lift with 31s?
