Default Best 3in Lift Kit???

hey guys! I have secured the purchase of a Jeep. So, if all things go well, i should be picking it up from Brisbane in the next week or so!!! YAY!
::EDIT:: It is a 1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ. the 'updated' version of the XJ
So, with that mostly sorted, its time to write up a mods list, to get an indication of where to start building my beast.

Lift Kit is a must, as i will be taking it off-road for both work And play, so i was wondering two things:

1. How high, without reducing the km/Ltr too much. (3in?)

2. Who makes the best kit? They're are plenty out there. But is there some to steer clear from, or a good value for money brand to target?

Thanks guys!

Oh dear your opening a can of worms lol...

What keep did you get? I have a wrangler and my personal opinion is teraflex mate (www.teraflex.biz) I run Elka shox and it's a sweet ride... Vic from Sbr put my kit together for me with the 8flex arms etc... For me it's perfect! Would never buy anything else...

But it depends on a lot of things, what type of ride do you want? What are you intending to do? And of course what did you buy...

I gather you are buying a JK? If so, look in the JK section there's loads of posts on your questions.

Check out the XJ section.
There is more than enough info there that you can learn and then start emptying the wallet with all the mods you would like to do.
