Default Which camp chair?

Haha, thought why not ask the fellow jeepers out there......

What is the best camp chair you can buy? Broken yet another chair and I'm getting sick of the cheap Chinese shitty chairs,

So what's every one got?

The good ones are bulky.. ive just learned to live with the short lifespan of the cheapies. At least you can toss them on the campfire and minimize the bring home stuff

And of course the family always know what to buy me as presents.

OzTent King Goanna, adjustable lumbar support, rated to 150kgs, and wont sack out/sag in the seat over time like many other chairs.

Ryan, I'm not sure which camping chair to buy but it sounds like you have a great excuse to go to BCF to review some chairs. A friend of mine who is a 130kg+ Fijian picked a chair up from BCF and he is yet to break it. The good thing about BCF is they have all the chairs set up in store for you to try before you buy.

I've got a few but my favourite is one I got on specials bin in Anaconda for I think $30 about three years ago. I only got one because I thought they were probably crap, being an Anaconda special... I've been looking for another one ever since.
  • It has Aluminium tube frame - lightweight, no rust
  • Folds flat
  • Back support it good and high enough to support shoulders.
  • Stainless steel hex bolts on moving parts means some scope for fixing it if it breaks
  • Plasticised mesh fabric rather than padding (well one padded section under knees) - still quite comfy, add my own liner (my sleeping bag) when it's cold, water just shakes off if I leave it out and it gets wet rain or due
  • Fits nicely upright in the foot well of the rear seat (well room for two of them really)

I've got others - a pair from Rays Outdoors own brand (Wild Country) - also flat, these ones padded and adjustable rake, steel frames, riveted.
