Default Diesel XJ won't start VIDEO

Hi,

I only bought my 2000 diesel XJ yesterday and today it won't start, i am not sure if i am doing something stupid or if it's a flat battery or what?

Any ideas form this video?

There is a voltage gauge and it shows nothing. Your battery is flat or there is a
bad connection on the battery terminals or starter motor.

The clicking sounds like the solenoid on the starter motor.But theres not enough juice in the battery to make the solenoid kick the starter motor enough to start the motor.Borrow a battery and try it before buying one,but i reckon your batterys f&%ed.

X2 on battery.
Normally when its a bad connection it doesnt recover after the start attempt.
Best get the battery tested.
Interesting speedo, do you live out side of Australia? The MPH on the speedo suggests that is not an Australian delivered car.
