I have a crd jku auto best i get is 11.6, 12.6 around town. On a run i get 10 to 10.6 depending on the wind...
once i got low as 8.9 but that was with a tail wind strong as a cyclone.. so that doesn't count ....
33000k on the clock, So notthat far off mine .

mine has a few mods on it now making it much less aerodynamic which I imagine can't be helping the cause but I have a 2007 2door Jk CRD (has now done 113500kms) and I get those exact figures your talking about usually more and when I drive at 110km/h I sitting at 2800revs in 6th gear and chew more fuel 12.5L/100 or even more like 14L when fully laden, and I'm a pretty conservative driver.

I use less fuel around town then I do on long trips which is backwards

This could also be attributed to the 4.11 diff ratios and running rather small tyres (32")

I'm also seeking some advice on this topic

My 2011 JKU with 30,000 got an average of 12.6 however since I had the auto replaced I have noticed the my average has dropped to 11.4. I do a lot of stop start driving thanks to the Melbourne M1 Freeway.

The figures you have don't seem unusual. Mine was getting close to 11l around town and low 10's on runs but it took about 20,000km's to get to that point. When it was new I couldn't get it below 11.5l no matter what driving I was doing. Just added 33"s and a lift which added about 1l/100km all round.

The only way I can get close to the ADR figures is driving at a steady 80km/hr. Once you get up to freeway speeds then mine won't come close to the ADR figures.

These are all actual figures. I've found that the dash readout is reasonably accurate sometimes but can be as much as 1.5l/100km out (+ or -) at other times and I've never seen a pattern to explain the variance.

Out of curiosity do you drive in D normally or use the tiptronic gear select? Mine's an MY10 so I don't have the new gearbox but I found that keeping it out of overdrive (so it only uses 1st, 2nd & 3dr) helped the fuel consumption when driving under 80km/hr around town. Doing this stopped it from changing up gears too much requiring more right foot to get it to change down again when I needed more power. Yes you're running slightly higher rev's most of the time but it means that you're always in the main torque band of the engine so you need far less right boot to adjust your speed. I also find that on steeper hills I'll manually drop it to 2nd as well, especially around 70km/hr as that seems to be a change point for the auto so trying to maintain 70km has it hunting between 2nd and 3rd. If you haven't already, try using the manual gear select more around town and see if that brings the fuel consumption down any.

Have a look in the JK section as this has been covered allready, but basically the advertised figures on any car are from testing under faforable (sp) conditions, do you have any mods as everyone you do is going to make it worse.

I can enjoy sub 10L/100km figures travelling at either 95km/hr or 115km/hr. Hanging around 100 or 110 uses at best 10.5L/100km. Around town it doesn't vary, it is fairly consistent in returning between 11L and 13L/100km.

This is why i stick to the standard sized tyres and no longer intend on changing away from them. The lift, ARB bars and Snorkel all combined to make it worse. When it was stock it was consistently around 10L/100km, regularly dipping into the 9's and even the 8's.

I once got only 300km from a tank. It was a very fun day at the beach.
