Default Advice On JK purchase - Brisbane

So I just came back from Canada, and need to get my fix on one of these babies. Been wanting one for a while and its time to replace my old car and time to have some fun and go off road more often.

I'm fixed on CRD, but not sure of I should go with manual or auto. Plus if i should go brand new or second hand? 2008 models do they still go well till today? Do they have problems i should know about?

Any good dealers I should go and see in Brisbane area, who can give me good prices? I know of one of the dealers in kippa ring redcliffe northstar, yet to talk to him

Any tips on buying my first jeep?

I wonted a manual CRD and ended up with an Auto CRD and have no regrets love it.
Great off road and it climbs.
Have no problems around town plenty go on highway set cruise and forget.
Love my 2008 build purchased 2009 as it also has the 255 75R 17 tyres so can go a larger size tyre then current models legally its not much but helps with tyre choice.
I was after second hand manual but got a great deal on last of run out year model Auto at time so bought new which is also why auto. was only about $4000 dearer then a second hand one i looked at at time so bit the bullet.
No regrets.
