My remote key fob has stopped opening the doors since the engine battery went flat, is there a procedure i need to perform to re-snyc it, or is this just co-incidence?
Funny that I had the same issue happen with my white jeep. I wasnt going to look into it as its not registered yet. I moved it a few days later the remote worked fine?

From what I've read on this forum and what I understand the central locking is not tied into the immobiliser, the immobiliser is in the key.
Because of this you can buy a central locking unit from jay car that more or less plugs in where the factory unit is and use this to open the doors etc.
People posted actual links and from memory they were about $45.
- my remote did not work when I bought my '99. I bought new batteries for it which seemed to make it work for a week or so. I figure replacing the central locking unit is the go.
Cheers.
