RACV is pretty fair with market value, and I honestly wouldn't take out full comp insurance with AAMI ever again.

There all saying market value is 5 grand it's 96 model hard top auto sport but the real market value is 10 to 15 Allianz is the only one with a half decent quote and will insure for 7 is any one else having this trouble?

im only insured for market value mines a 2005 model, theough CGU, I pay around 1600 a year, i was going to change to RACQ who would've only charged around 800, but I decided to stay witg CGU, because CGU will cover me anywhere in OZ, be the simpson desert, cape york, the kimberly somewhere or a 4wd park, where as RACQ said the insurance wont cover me in these places.

morale of the story, better off be covered for a bit less, then not be covered at all especially when off road.

10-15 seems a high value for a 96 model. what makes you think its worth so much? if it is heavily modded thats why I suggested Shannons as I have never heard anyone whinge about them

and I was wih AAMI for years, but their premiums kept going up and the vehicle market value kept going down, how the ***k does that work? so much for loyalty.

decided to switch everything (car, house, business etc etc.) to GIO 2 years ago as they were the cheapest at the time, but I have also learnt to look at others every year premiums are due
