Default Water pumps, noisy bearing

I installed a new water pump just over 3 years ago and the bearing sounds like it's on its way out with a visible wobble to the pulley when the motor is running but there's no coolant seeping out or overheating issues. Can I replace the bearing on the pulley or should I install a new water pump? I thought it would have lasted a bit longer than that.

Repco have their own brand of water pump on sale for $106 at the moment but I've read some good things about the quality of the Protex Water Pumps for $108 delivered:

http://www.eziautoparts.com.au/protex-water-pump-pwp3133.html?cs_cookies[csid]=aaf6a011650ba6b00a09401299b38e3c&cs_cookies[cart_languageC]=EN&cs_cookies[secondary_currencyC]=AUD&cs_cookies[stat_uniq_code]=4977

Last time I replaced the water pump I pulled everything out because I was replacing the radiator, thermostat etc at the same. What will I need to remove to get the water pump out?

I dont think you can replace the bearing because of the seals and such. I got my water pump from Wooders, it was a bit cheaper than Repco I think. To swap it out you'll need to remove the fan and fan shroud.

Thanks Cypher, is this the one you have? Not a bad price either:

I'd say so, I sorted it all out over the phone.

I got one from Bursons ~2 weeks ago, $93.
The water pump I just replaced lasted less than 18mths, from RockAuto ~$35.
The bearing sh#t itself big time but didn't leak either.
Couldn't drive it though, the pulley wore a groove thru' the timing case cover it was wobbling that much!

Thanks Ruffy, I normally order my parts from Rockauto and usually don't have a problem with the quality but I guess it depends what brand you choose (I don't always select the cheapest part they have listed).

I'm in a hurry for the water pump so I've gone with Wooders this time for $91.75 delivered. I've placed an order online so hope they are quick to post.

Rockauto normally has the part to my door within 5 business days which is pretty good coming from the States.

Ordered my water pump on Sunday afternoon, dispatched first thing Monday and arrived this morning so I got it installed in the Jeep this afternoon after work. There's not much room in there, it's definitely not a job I want to do again in a hurry! Very happy with the Wooders service and speedy delivery.
