Nah, they all have the two 2nd gear options, this gives a higher overdrive.
I reckon its worth it but it depends on how much dealer charges.Worth calling around as prices vary.

Really? Flashing the computer that controls the gearbox will give a higher ratio overdrive? I would have though this was mechanical and all the reflash could do was to change what speed or load the gear changes occur at.

2010 JK, then a 2015 KL Trailhawk, now a 2017 GC Trailhawk!
The trans has avail 5 speeds (6 if you include the two almost same second gear ratios) but early models only used 4 speeds, this was purely a programming thing.
