Default Beware when changing wheels

Hi guys, I have been changing wheels fairly often putting the a/t's on for running a muck.
Today I changed back to my 18s and after tightening the nuts I realised either the studs have stretched or the nuts are flogged coz no matter how tight I do them they still aren't tight against the rim but bottoed out inside the nut.
I have used anti seize grease each time I've changed them to try to avoid this.
Off to the tyre joint in the morning to get some new wheel nuts without covered ends.
If you change yours regularly please check them it would make for an ugly crash!!!
Phill.

That's really weird. I wouldn't be just putting new nuts on. Get those studs checked cause if they are stretched that's bad news too man.

cheers

Correct me if I am wrong, but grease (ant-sieze or otherwise) on wheel studs is a no-no ?

Are you using the correct torque values on your torque wrench ?

We used to use the copper anti seize grease on customers cars at the tyre shop I used to work at to protect threads and we use it on my mates race car as well. No torque wrench here mate but couldn't get them tight on the wheel even if I stood on the brace.
I got a new set of nuts on and she is all good, I didn't need to do them too tight with the new ones so not sure what was up.
Any theories welcome.

Mate,
a wheel brace is for changing a flatty. i.e. emergency use
Tyre shop rattle guns are torque set, do yourself a favor and buy a torque wrench if you're going to DIY.?

New nuts being "all good now". Simply means you (or someone) has flogged out the nut threads by standing on a wheel brace to tighten the bejusus out of the stud/nut connection. ?
