Default Time to hit the road, an Australian pilramage

Well I am getting itchy feet and am thinking I need to get going. I don't like the town I live in so am thinking end of the school holis it will be time to make a move. Not sure where I am heading first but I know I have to be in Tassie by the end of Feb. The other thing holding me up is the Jeep aint ready. I need to get a few things sorted before I go off on a sick adventure.
So thats the plan get ready over the next month and get goin. Going to Bendleby last weekend made me realise I am happiest when I am out doing what I want when I want. I also realised I just love being out in nature with nothing to worry about but what I will have for dinner.

Regards A

You could always join a bush walking/adventure club. I know from personal experience there are normally more 30+ yo females than males. No interest to me as I was already part of a couple.

Nah F### that, I am not really looking to chase chicks I just like reminicing about the old days. I could not be bothered. Nah I enjoy getting offroad or stuffing around on the Jeep more than most things these days. Hence why I am thinking just get going why put it off?

Regards A

I have a daughter is Tassie who is turning 16 in March so want to be there for that.
As for work, FIIK I seem to luck out in that department. Late Jan I might see if I can get into a fork lift licence course, should be work out there for fork lift drivers. Plan is to close down the business I am thinking. I can't seem to turn a profit. Only incentive with keeping it going is the tax right offs. It pays for my insurance on the Jeep and also pays for my tools and other equipment which have more uses than just for the business. I could go back to working as a baker but I would only last a few weeks as I really don't enjoy it. However if that is my only option then I will go with it. Although I seem to be finding it hard to go back to it, even just part-time. Seems that when an employer realises you have been out of the industry for close on 15years thay can't seem to grasp why you would want to return to the baking game.

Thanks Bruggz yerr hopefully get some work. I know the NT has work so will most likely head that way. Although it may be after the Cape Trip before I get there.
I will probably head off from here by the end of Jan or maybe a week or two after that. Like I was saying I need to finish the Jeep. Although in saying that the only thing I really need is a rear bar/tyre carrier. I am also in two minds about whether I tent it the whole way or go to the hassle of pulling the van. I know the van is comfy as. Where as the tent will mean sleeping on a swag but with advantage of less fuel consumption. Other thing I have to consider if I take the van is how do I go about storing it if I venture to places where the van can't go? Other thing is the van needs work to finish it before I hit the road. Although $600 - $800 and about 8hrs work would see it ready for a decent trip. I just never have liked towing it as I can't see out my middle mirror and also that I have to sit on about 90-95kph in 110kph zones. Hmmm I have some decisions to ponder over the next few weeks.

Regards A
