Hi there,

Any advice on which brand / type would be ideal for changing the battery for my 2009 JKU.

in my diesel, I think its a D34. Got a brilliant price (and service) from peter at battery business who is one of the forum vendors.
I'm not sure about the petrol, but he should be able to help you

Highly recommend Battery Business. You not only get a good price but they switch the battery over for you while you wait. For my CRD I bought the D31A (Optima), was about $385 from memory, but now a bit cheaper about $350?

I second that, BatteryBusiness is an AJOR vendor and will give you great advice as well as a great deal on all of their products.

the battery box is custom made to fit the original battery. replace with hat's already in it. they are a good battery, available anywhere. but made by goodyear.

Diesel gets a D31, my 2008 3.8V6 battery was replaced with a D34 Optima Yellow Top when it died last year.
