Hi guys, I just wanted to introduce myself to AJOR members, my name is Peter and I am new to the forum. Previously owned a 3L Patrol for 9 years which we used to tow our 16' off road van with no issues.
I have a new WK2 Laredo 3.0 CRD on order and due at the end of the month. Options include the Adventure Pack, Quadra Lift and Tow bar.
We needed a new tug as we have a new van with an ATM of more than 2500kg which is more than an Auto Patrol can tow. Looked at a number of vehicles before deciding on the Jeep as the best option after seeing a number of caravans being towed by new GC Jeeps. It was the 550Nm that got me in. First task will be installing a brake controller so have been searching the site for all info I need. I think I now have it covered.
Looking forward to learning more about my WK2 Laredo and hopefully contributing down the track.

Congrats your going to love it, ours tows our Aussieswag camper like its not there, have even pulled down a couple of small trees when on tight windy tracks, going round a tight turn got a small tree hooked on the CT mud guard, didn't notice a bit of throttle and next thing a tree comes crashing down next to the GC, no damage to CT or GC luckily

Welcome! I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the refinement the GC has over the Patrol. As long as you don't get a lemon (and I haven't heard of anyone getting a lemon WK2) you'll most likely fall in love with the brand and never leave. It's a Jeep thing!

The Redarc EBRH is a good option for the WK2 as it doesn't cause problems with the lower airbags. A few other WK2 owners here have them fitted and have pics.

FWIW I have one and even though it is a simple controller i.e. non-proportional it works well and is easy to adjust.
