Default Rear Main and PCV ?

This recent Grand i picked up is giving me the shits..

Great car with no leaks, low k's, never been off road.
6 months in leaky welsh plug. So decide to decide to keep it nice by replacing all of them together with new coolant the works, which meant removal of the engine. Looking back i should of just stuck some stop leak in there and been done with it.

During the removal of the engine, the rear main seal was replaced as a precautionary measure. However that new seal failed about 2 weeks later. So back to the shop it goes for a warranty replacement rear main.
This week, that second rear main has failed! And there is oil all over the cats again, smouldering away when you stop for a while.
Needless to say, my mechanic is spewing and so am I. Lucky he's a jeeper also or else id have a whole other problem to cry about.
Anyway, we will be doing the rear main again for the 3rd time this weekend. With a genuine rear main kit and not one of the crown kits that has been used twice already.

Now, on my way home from work in it today I went to overtake and when i pulled out had no power at all. A few tests on the way home and I found that under flat foot, WOT (wide open throttle) it would surge and not rev out as it should and felt as though it was starving of fuel or something. Half to full throttle and its choking. Badly.
Once home I checked codes, nothing. So i got online.

The combination of these two issue's is steering me in the direction of a blocked PCV valve. Has anyone ever heard of a blocked PCV causing enough pressure to blow a rear main? And could this also be a contributing factor to my underpowered full throttle attempts??

Any ideas a greatly welcomed. Thank you.

Holy Dooley that would give u the Sh!ts, i wouldn't have thought pcv would cause that imo - i would be thinking more about throttle body full of gunk? or Tsp? or Iac valve maybe. or dirt in fuel tank / fuel tank filter

I changed my pcv last year and it was clean as so i kept it cleaned it and will probobly re-use.

I'm not a mechanic just a diy'er but i hope this may help steer u the right direction.

That was a hell lot of work done. Does your PCV rattle fairly freely when you pull it out, if it does, it's OK?

Other things to check are as Glenm mentioned. I used to have an issue with a fuel filter that did the same thing on my old Commodore.

I havent had the chance to look at it properly yet. I will take PCV out and give it a shake, if its blocked than I would expect to have higher than usual oil pressure at high rpm.
I just cant explain 2 brand new rear main seals in less than a month and both were done properly. Clean surfaces the lot. And now with the WOT issue as well, it must be pressurising somehow.. This is all i can think of.
I did clean my TPS a couple months ago so that should be ok. And it only ever gets 98 premo..
My wife is has the car but when I get a chance I will go check the PCV and report back.

Just curious, where does everyone's oil pressure sit while driving? I thought it was dead on half way but now that i'm looking at it every 10 seconds while i'm driving (well feels like it anyway) I have noticed it sits just above halfway..

Mine is always over halfway.
Yes a blocked pcv valve and fresh air intake can cause the crankcase to pressurise and blow out seals however its uncommon.
A faulty pcv can also cause running problems but again is not common.
