Default Servicing and warranty. Could be big end bearing?

Hey guys it has been a while since I posted but I check back in couple of weeks to see whats going on.

Anywho, I have an 09 Rubicon 4 door and have missed three services and made them up late. (one of them I missed completely)

I got an extended warranty and it looks like they wont honor the warranty unless the service history has been immaculate. What experiences have you had with the warranty so far.

They have been good for me for minor repairs but if this gets big they will ask the question.

The engine has been knocking for a couple of weeks. It gets worse when warm. I got the last service in December with the dealer.

What are my chances????

Cheers,

Charlie

Is it not fraudulent of the dealer to deny warranty on things that have absolutely nothing to do with servicing?

It was never a condition of warranty in the past that a vehicle had to have an immaculate log book, I have always assumed that this rule was created to be a cash cow until the government put a stop to it.

The dealers can and do break the law consistently on this matter and it usually comes down to threats of legal action to get them to comply with the law.

I agree in principle, however the OP mentioned he missed a service. I would take this to mean no oil change. That could definately contribute to a big end failure and would definately be against you in a warranty claim.

Sent from Tapatalk on a Galaxy S3 all on its own while I was working.

What world do you people live in?

Do you realise your attempts to defraud insurance companies is part of why they keep jacking up the prices and causing honest people more headaches?

The only time it is fair to make a fuss with a dealer over a rejected warranty claim is when it is a valid one and the internet forum is no way to determine validity.

As for the OP's dilemma, unfortunately with late servicing and missing one all together the dealer, chrysler Au and the underwriting insurer are all well within their rights to deny the claim.
