Default reasons for air con hot one side cold the other

Hi all just wondering if anyone has the fix for this
My 2006 WH GC CRD
All of a sudden my air con is hot one side freezing the other and of course its the drivers side that is hot
I had a similar problem on my Citroen C5 few years ago and it was the motor that drove the hot to cold flaps also hot on drivers side cold on passenger
In the Citroen the motor that controlled the flap has broken the spline as the shaft was made of plastic that after getting hot and cold decided to get brittle and brake off
I made a sleeve for it and repaired it but someone from the Citroen forum had already done the repair and taken photos so was a relatively easy repair
Has anyone encountered this and got a few pointers I knew the vehicle was going to good for a month (LOL)

Not a GC driver, but sounds like the old Blend Doors failure. Do a google on it and I am sure you will find heaps of info, though most that I just found was for up to 2004, so not to sure if yours is the same but its a place to start.

I just had CRD STU on the phone as I thought he might have an idea
He said never heard of it in the WH models seems to be a problem with the preceding models as I have found heaps of stuff on earlier models just nothing about the WH 06 onwards

Try this, worth a shot
Info from here
http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f67/m...ation-1090348/

The blend door actuators cannot be adjusted (they are electronically adjusted) or repaired and they must be replaced if faulty.

Here are the simple calibration procedures for the MANUAL temp. control module blend door adjustment
(1) Turn your ignition switch to the ON position.
(2) Press and hold the A/C and Defrost buttons for at least five seconds. The A/C and Defrost will begin to flash when the calibration procedure has begun.
(3) The calibration procedure should take less than two minutes for the manual A/C-heater control. The calibration is done when the graphics stop flashing.
(4) If the LEDs or graphics continue to flash beyond the two minutes, it indicates that the heater control module has detected a problem and set a diagnostic trouble code. The LEDs or graphics will continue flashing even after the ignition switch is cycled Off and On, until calibration is successful, or until the vehicle has been driven about 8 miles.

This is a common fault on wj/g grands and many other vehicles and is almost certainly blend doors, theres not much else that would give those symptoms.
