Default Ipod wiring harness Mygig REP

HI everyone,
I purchased a 2011 JK and it came fitted with the MyGig REP (Navigation & Uconnect) radio. I know that I can't stream music over BT but I have been looking to find a way to control my idevices via the radio. I found the iPod interface wiring set but I am not sure if I will be able to connect it or not. I searched a bit everywhere but have not found any firm answer if this can or cannot work.
Do you have any suggestions?

thanks in advance

I connect my phone via the USB on the face an play my iPod on the radio whilst charging, mine automatically switches to the aux USB function and i am able to control it via my steering wheel but some jk owers have to push radio then on that screen tap aux then USB or something along those lines... But on mine I am able to stream via Bluetooth as I have the new one... Hope that helps a little

Hi Mate, thanks for clarifying. Unfortunately I have tried that like a gazillion times and various ways. Do you know what your software version is?
Mine has Application 2.107 and I am not sure an upgrade would help.
thanks again

Jeep'ers JK is the current model so not much point in comparing. You'll have more in common with JK & KK drivers around the same year obviously especially if they have the REP. I've tried this too (well the dealer tried it) with my non-nav RB2 Mygig. As the RB2 doesn't have Bluetooth built in I have a Uconnect module fitted and this is what they connect the iPod cable to. The REP has Uconnect built in already so cable just goes straight into the back.
I got the dealer to put the iPod cable in during the last service (cable $65) which they already had in stock, they said it worked but stopped bluetooth streaming. Next service they're going to try the USB cable instead and I just connect an iPod cable to this. Booked in end of the month, I'll let you know how it goes. Should work like this:

Thanks KKnut, Do you know which cable it is exactly, do you have a part nr by any chance? I can't do Bleutooth streaming at all, however the Iphone 5 BT phone calls works perfectly. I am just a bit frustrated as I need to change songs by grabbing my phone and with the new "don't touch your phone while driving" rule I just don't want to end up with a nice paper from the cops requiring me to pay a fine And a cradle is not really an option for me.
Let us know how the USB option goes.
Thanks for the tip man, much appreciate it!

I'll get the part numbers and take some pics when it's back at the dealer. For about $60 I got a quality iPhone dock to keep it charged and legal - Carcomm brand. Also has audio out and external antenna connection. Was a pain at first taking phone out of the case every time but now I'm used to it. I have all my music on an old iPod that lives in the glovebox. Cheers.
