Default tie rod and drag link ends are stuffed

hey guys.

had a couple of shimmys over potholes and what not as of recent. watched through planmans death wobble video and had a play around to see if i can find the cause.

below is the video of me with some vice grips at the drag link and tie rod ends.
they are both torque to spec of 55 ft-lbs. am i doing this correctly?

http://youtu.be/W2qfx-5HONo

its a definite on the knuckle end of the drag link being stuffed, i can feel and hear it. but im not 100% sure on the pitman arm end because it may be referred from the knuckle end.

because of the up & down movement in my tie rod ends, does this mean these is also stuffed?

if these are stuffed, i feel there's no point in getting replacement oem joints. can you get synergy ball joints to put in them? or do you have to get the full tie rod and drag link with the ends already in them?

can i buy LHD ones from the states? I'm about to do an order on some stuff anyway so i may aswell get it from the states when i do, but will the below work on my car?

drag link & adapter:

http://www.quadratec.com/products/16315_6505.htm

tie rod:
http://www.quadratec.com/products/16315_6000_07.htm

is it possible just to buy heavy duty tie rod ends? so the originals just unthread out, and new ones thread in?

Hey Lim, had mine replaced under warranty recently for exactly the same movement.

Problem is one end is screwed on, the other end is part of the shaft for both the drag link and the tie rod, so both need to be replaced completely.

If you have stock rims, there are not many options for replacements, as most are heavier duty and require larger offset rims to fit. I believe there is one, bloody expensive from memory, but I cant remember the brand!

Really? Can't run the synergy tie rod with standard 17" wheels? That's really crap. I definitely don't wanna drive on my 35s all day everyday. Do 35000ks a year and it's my money for tyres and fuel

Hang on. Is it both the tie rod and drag link that won't work with standard wheels?

I thought synergy had a set up that worked on a standard vehicle and then you could add a flip kit to it later

According to the DBOR site they both require maximum 4 & 3/4 in backspace to clear the larger the tie rod ends.

I believe the Currie ones fit but its around $1100 for them both (US)

Unless you go spacers but then some other things to consider

Hey Lim, get the currie tie rod and drag link, similar price to mopar but they are massive and can be run with stock wheels. Vic at SBR a vendor on here stocks them. They are the ducks nuts, and you won't ever break them.
