Default prices for mounting tyres and balancing

I've got a full set of procomps with 33's including spare that I'm swapping back onto the stock rims and putting a set of 35's onto the procomps.
10 tyres in all.

I've been priced up between $350-400 for this to be done...
seriously 1 hours work with no parts, just labor.....

Is this reasonable at around $35-40 a tyre?

agree with above. $20 per tyre for a 4wd is about right.

I would not pay more than $25 a tyre absolute maximum

Including balancing? Most places have said an extra 10 per tyre for that and that's why they reckon 35

I don't think that is unreasonable.
If a tyre shop was to sell ten 4wd tyres, they would make more than $35 a tyre.
You are in effect taking up their labour, their hoist, the tyre fitting machine, and the balancer. Wear and tear, lead weights, valves.... Ten tyres at six minutes a tyre. You think?

Buy some tyre levers and a compressor, do it yourself.

Yerr $35 is about what I have seen in a few tyre shops that includes a $10 balance. Normally a strip and fit I have seen around the $22ea mark. TBH I would look on Ebay as tyre machines often sell for under $350. IMHO I think levers might be a little hard with 33s and 35s.

Regards A
