Default v8 going

taking the V8 out of my cj7 ,cbf playing with it any more .everytime i get something sorted for engineering I find something else that needs doing !!
Gunna go back to a 258 6cyl ,wont need engineering ,just a roadworthy (that it will easily pass ) then rego .all up less than $350
everything will bolt straight in so will be an easy switch .
any one want to buy a 308 and adaptor ??
It will probably be worth more original than modded anyway .
I bought another one for spares ,with front and rear Levi seats plus heaps of other good bits too .

I know how you feel. I;m taking teh 360 out for a Holden V6, 4L60E. Going EFI and overdrive, should bring the running costs down a tad!!

Can someone post some pics of the engine mount brackets that bolts to the chassis on a cj7 with a 258 in it .
the brackets for the 308 that is in it now obviously wont suit the 258 mounts but my other cj7 that had a 307 Chev in it are different again but look like they will do the job .
just want to see what stock brackets are like before I start tearing the V8 out .
or if any one has some for sale ,I will be happy to buy them .

Are you guys having trouble with the 360's or are they to expensive to run on Petrol?. I think like this, I know of several late model diesel engines that have failed dual mass flywheels twice in less than 100,000 km's and injectors that failed at a $1000 each. High pressure pumps and so on. My mates 3.0 Datsun cost him $25,000 to repair. All I can say is that's a lot of fuel, spark plugs, leads, dizzy caps, and a couple of rebuilds of the 360 and trans.
