Default Grand Cherokee Recovery Hooks MY2014

I have the new MY2014. I noticed previous posts about a lack of recovery hook on the WK2 but there seems to be what looks like a recovery hook on mine. It doesn't look like the conventional tow hook you would find on a normal car.

Did this change? Or am I just mistaking a more robust looking tow hook for a recovery hook?

Post a photo and I'll tell you!

It certainly 'sounds' like the recovery hook, as the 'tow' hook is a screw in eyebolt.

Yup. Apparently I'm losing my mind. Only at the rear, not the front which is in inline with what most people have been saying.

I requested a front recovery hook for my new MY14 from the dealer they got it from a mob called Best Bars.
Very disapointed as you can not attach an ARB snatch strab as the opening and curve of the hook is too small. I could just imagine if I used the combination the eye of the strap would be wedged in there and would take a bit to get it out if at all. Some modifying later problem solved and can now used a bow shackle to attach the strap.
If you are buying one check it out first...
Regards
Mike

Thanks. I might look at this setup when they get released.

The alternative is to wait for this one which I may look at which also has the recovery hooks:

That would not bolt onto my 2013.

Here is the Mopar and a custom made 2013 hook:

MissionMan, happy for someone with more knowledge than me to step in here but these will only fit the US chasis version which for Australia there was only 2 models exported with the US chasis. These were the 2011 WK2 and the Trailhawk model. You can easily identify these as they both hit Australia complete with 2 front tow hooks.
