Anyone tell me what the warranty is on the Optima in a new JK? I got mine in feb 2011, so the JK is still under warranty, but I suspect I might have a dying optima.
Dont have the book and warranty stuff with me at present and I'm not sure if its covered under a separate (shorter) manufacturer warranty.
Thanks Walrus, just found the warranty book and you are right - its not in the exclusions.
That is interesting as I've just been to Adeliade Jeep and asked, and they told me it was a consumable item, and not covered!!!!!!

They told me that it wasn't covered under warranty as it was a consumable, but i argued the point that it wasn't listed in the warranty book. After about 3 calls they gave in and replaced it, a few days before my warranty expired.

Keep on them and they will change their mind.
I had my battery replaced, no questions asked, when
It failed at 18 months.
This was after I had installed my own winch, aux electrical systems etc. I had also been doing, and still do, all my own servicing. The only service I have had done by the dealer was the first one.
