Default Flashing Dash lights

My WH GC 5.7 while driving every now and then all the dash lights ( as when you first turn on the ignition ) come on. The car still runs smooth no mater what speed I'm traveling at. Its happens both during night or day driving . It will go for months without this happening then it may do it 3 times in a week. Also at times when cruising along at 100/110 kph and if say I hit a bump the traction control light will come until I push the button twice then it goes back out.
Any clues on what causes either of these faults. Other than that it's one of the best vehicles I have owned.
Thanks Brian

I had randomly flashing dash lights like you describe. I never found what was causing it, but after a lot of unrelated electrical work behind the dash (wiring accessories and generally tidying things up, adding dielectric grease everywhere I could, etc.) it seemed to stop happening.

Can't help you on the traction control... maybe a bad wheel speed or roll sensor?
I've found that if I hit a serious bump at speed (like the 'whoops' on the highway between Katherine and Mt. Isa.) the traction control flashes and cruise control is cancelled, but I don't need to push the button to get rid of it, so I assume that's just a safety thing.

PS; I also found that back when the dash lights were flashing, if I left the doors open (like camping with the boot open.), then used the 'dimmer' switch on the stalk to force the interior lights off - They would occasionally flash then eventually stay on and never turn off.
That seems to have stopped along with the dash flash, but I haven't been camping enough lately to know for sure.

Pull the battery out & the tray it sits on & check for signs of corrosion on the computer that sits under the battery tray.

Thanks for the info James and Clarky. I've found that if I hit a serious bump at speed (like the 'whoops' on the highway between Katherine and Mt. Funny but that's where mine did it the first time also including cruise cancelling out.
So it seems its just "A Jeep Thing" I'm glad it's not the sign of major problem on the way.

Thanks again Brian
