clean boost sensor (located near throttle control body)
remove and clear intercooler hoses, If you can remove the crank case breather from the rocker cover to the intake pipe as this spits oil into the intercooler pipes. mixed with the EGR gases and soot it causes alot of problems..

How ever it could be a faulty injector, get the dealer to (if still under warranty) remove the injectors are get them flow tested, bosch injectors are not too happy with crappy dirty fuel. I had 2 replaced before 50k on mine.

also could be a split turbo hose/ boost leak

Ok

I previously have cleaned the boost sensor & egr sensor with electroclean, had the turbo hoses replaced, and had the dealer reflash the computer.

Today I went down to the dealer after your comments on the injectors possibly leaking / being faulty and lo and behold they have agreed to have a good look at the whole set up early in the new year.

Does anyone have anyone have any suggestions of what else I should get checked out while they have it for a few days.
I would love to get the hill hold deleted and the TPS threshhold dropped.
I dont know if they can do either but it would be good.

first of all, is it under warranty or are you paying for them to do the guess work?

Midnight
It's still under warranty.
The good thing is that they are willing to look at it,
Previously I have been given the run around.
The reason for doing the homework is generally my experience has been less than positive when dealing with a dealer they generally have no idea or don't want to look for a resolution to a problem that's difficult and having as much knowledge as possible at least allows me the opportunity to know what the are or are not doing!!,
Knowledge is power

trust me, I have been there before...
calling jeep Australia after a few days of the dealers problem solving, mention how much other crd owns have had the same problem and it turned out to be injectors. Ask them to fast track it, they will call the dealer for a quick approved for an injector test..
I was telling them till i was red in the face with out any luck. range jeep aus up and they called the dealer.. Injectors tested the next day and one wasn't spraying right..

they would have checked for codes. pretty much the only cause of your problems that won't pull a code is a faulty injector.

For start this is from VM repair manual:

...
Emission of black smoke from the exhaust pipe:
- Dirty or faulty injectors (replace the injectors)
- Faulty turbocharging turbine (replace the turbine)
...

Check if the EGR valve is stuck open. This would also be obvious with loss of engine performance.

The MAP sensor relates to the above, so I'd also check it for fouling and/or fault.

What "EGR sensor" did you clean??
