So I presume you have 1st hand experience with axles & gears from both of these company's, a lot of the Yukon gear including gears & seals are rebadged genuine Dana spicer parts, the best quality gears you can buy, that's why Yukon sell them at a premium price, their cheap gears like alloy USA come from India & china, which are a lot harder to set up & get uniform gear contact & are normally noisier,
as far as axle seals leaking after being replaced 6 months earlier, that can happen with any seal unless the job was done properly, by properly I mean replacing all worn parts including wheel bearings & axle if required, including correct installation of the parts, did you just get the seal changed without replacing any other parts, was the seal greased properly before being installed? Did the professional have clean hands when fitting the seal? Main reason for premature failure of most parts is incorrect installation
