Default New to the JEEP world

Hi everyone,

My girl and i recently entered the JEEP world and purchased a TJ Wrangler. We love it and i'll add some photos of the beast at some stage. We have a lot still to do on it but it turns heads already.

The one thing i have trouble with is finding good places within australia that sell jeep accessories and parts which is how i ended up here.

Our TJ came with a soft and hard lid, the unfortunate thing is the hard lid has a couple of cracks from being dropped. Do you guys recommend having this repaired or just buy a new one? I prefer the soft top but the misses loves the hardlid. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome Mr Mac, let us know where you are located so region specific advice can be given? As far as the hardtop goes they are rare and expensive so I would try the repair road first.

Thanks AroGantz, i'm in Adelaide. They also seem to be hard to find new or 2nd hand. My girl spotted some two piece hard lids in the USA but i have never seen (noticed) and in australia.

TJ hard tops will be rare as hens teeth, but look at places online like JeepKonnection and DBOR (both in Melbourne) and you should find something in the new variety. Otherwise Jeeparts.com.au for possible wrecking parts. Gumtree might have one pop up every now and then too. Jeep action magazine is probably the only other option I would think of for getting a replacement hard top

Welcome aboard

I see hard tops in the for sale section pop up every couple of months. I'd repair what you have unless its badly damaged

I recommend checking out morris 4x4 online if you're stuck for parts, they have a lot of things for most models just have to add freight from US to the cost.
