Default Blend doors replacement. Wj

It's a common fault on wj wg that the blend doors fail. And mine has just broke. Right in time for winter.
I've checked out the code 54,56,58.
So now it's a dash out job.
Just wanting to know has anyone out there has done this themselves.
Is it an easy job or should I take it to my local jeep dealership.
Or does anyone know who fixes them in Perth.
Any help would be great.

Only the recirc door needs most of the dash to be pulled, the blend doors can be done very easily by removing the glove box.

I've had a look at the blen dor store on eBay. They list the blend door for dual zone but it's a dash out kit.
Mine has dual zone. I've seen clips in you tube in how to replace the blend doors.
One tells you to cut out the hvac wall and then cut out the middle wall to access the blend doors. But then after you replace the blend doors it tells you not to replace the middle wall.
Correct me if I'm wrong but that defeats the purpose of dual zone then. Not having the middle wall to separate the temperatures.

There are generally 2 styles available. One kit is simpler in that they do ignore the dual zone function and the method does change the air con to standard. The other allows you to retain it. Up to you what is important and how much effort you want to go to. I can't advise in that respect never done it but there is plenty of info from the kit sellers, wjjeeps and write ups here and the US forums if you search.

I have heard of dealers doing it and I've heard of people dropping well over $1K for the convenience.
