Default Lift kits on jk wrangler unltd...

Hi all
I'm new to all this so bare with me.

I have a 09 JK wrangler unlimited CRD with A/T.
I live on a farm in sthn WA and do a lot of country driving.
Love my wrangler, but find it gets a bit of body roll and is a bit soft on the ride. However it tows the family 7.1m alum fishing boat very well.
I'm keen on a basic lift kit, to firm up the ride a bit and they look cool lifted. Not too interested in bigger tyres then standRds although maybe one day.
My queries...
1 is 2 inch about the max before u start to upset steering geometry etc
2 will lifts bring on the dreaded death wobble or similar inherent issues
3 what are some good simple kits out there??

Thanks for any help!!!

They are rubbish in factory form, Esp the CRD ones, they sag very fast and handle like a jelly fish having a seizure.

What rubber do you plan to run, or stay with? what size?
2-2.5in will be fine, Old man emu make a good off the shelf kit for the CRD jk's which is what I run, I got given the kit for free and was very surprised how well it preformed even after reading alot of people bagging them out.

There are plenty of kits to suit, AEV make a good kit

I not too long ago replaced tires and rims to "standard". From memory they are 245/65r17.. Goodyear wranglers. They will stay on it for a while, still 75% left I them yet. When I got the car (bought used) it had 255/75 wranglers on it quite a bit rougher ride I thought, although wrAnglers do seem a stiffer tyre.
So 2.5" shouldn't need to change much other then springs shocks steering damper??

I might be keen on 2.8 parts. Fan belt in particular. Do you have internet shopping?

Cheers!

I have the aev 2.5 inch lift and it's awesome. Handles way better than stock and such a smooth ride!
Body roll just depends on how hard you drive. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think OME offer a heavy duty suspension setup that is probably more ideal for towing.

Cheers so far for info everyone, this is fun! Had a quote from 4WD USA, 2.5" lift rancho RS9000XL adjustable shocks procomp springs adjustable front track bar $2500 fitted. Can save $500 to DIY... Does that pricing sound fair?? AEV sound good also, haven't got a quote yet. Rancho seem to have a great name...which kinda sucks me in.

Wow that's pricey. U could get an aev 2.5" for almost half Ur fitted price..
Can get a flexy coil lift for similar to that price which includes coils custom to the height you want, Wont sag and won't fall out under flex
