Default Resto Spray Job Costs

Hi All...

So I have a 69 VF Valiant Coupe that is getting restored. Is my only chrysler at the moment since my last 2 jeeps...so still a little relevant to this site. (plans for a GC or a 300 if I can twist the missus arm )

At the moment it's at the resto garage, and has finished all the rust work and is nearly finished the rest of the panel work. (full bare metal). has already sunk me a few grundy's, and is now ready for spraying.

When the shop told me how much just the paint was going to cost me from here, it set me back a little. Apprx another $10k...and this would be a good, but standard job (ie:not a show job)...then would cost me extra from there to piece everything back together again etc.

So my question is: who has had experience with a full bare metal resto before, and what would a fair price for a fair paint spray be worth?

If there is already a thread for this, please link me...did a bit of a search but couldn't find anything.

Thanks.

I'd be buying a spray gun and learning how to spray! If they can spray, so can you after a bit of practice. $9.5K is pure profit.

for how much I had to pay for rust and panel...it deserves better than I could do (plus don't have the space)...
Is hard to know really what the material cost and labor involved really should be and what a fair price is...def not my field. Live and learn I spose? Luckily it's not a car I am looking at restoring and trying to sell for a profit...should be sitting in my garage for quite a few years.

After

I have always stripped vehicles myself and re-assembled. Thats where a lot goes into in terms of money. Shop around also. You may be surprised.

I remember a member on here who put near on 20k into paint on a CJ7
