Default New rims, centre hole too big

I just had some dynamic rims fitted to my TJ and when I got it home I noticed that the centre hole in the rim is larger than the hub, has anyone else seen this? is it ok to leave it like that? I've read a bit about it needing hub centric spacers and if that's what I need where would I get some? Thanks in advance.

My Mickey Thompson alloys & my Dynamic steelies are not hub centric either. Never had a problem with them. A hub centric shim would be an added security but probably custom made & dearer than the wheels themselves. Do some research & see if any of the aftermarket wheel manufactures do a hub centric Jeep wheel. I know you can get hub spacers for alloys, but never seen them for steel wheels.

For insurance purposes it may technically be illegal. Not saying don't do it, just something to consider.

Of all the aftermarket wheels I've had on different vehicles, this was the first time I've noticed the gap. Just thought id ask what others have done to get a little piece of mind, there lots of discussions about them on other forums and the majority say the weight of the vehicle shouldn't be on the studs. Ill ask about spacers where I got the rims fitted and if they cant help I know a few people with lathes that could make them for me. As far as technically illegal I guess ill just have to ad it to the list...

Most aftermarket wheels are lug centric to fit a wide range of vehicles with the same lug pattern. Like mentioned and if you feel better about it. You can buy hub rings.
It's very important to properly torque a lug centric wheel in a star pattern.

The centre hub ring is quite important as the lug nuts are designed to only hold the wheel to the hub, while the ring keeps the jolting forces off your studs.

Will be interesting what the wheel supplier has to say, the wheel fitting tight on the hub makes sense to me.
