Default Diesel to V8

Had enough of the rattle, want to here the rumble of a V8, so has it been done?
i already have a 545RFE, as its auto, but AEV dont do a kit for replacing the diesel, any ideas?
Searched around but found nothing, dont really want to get a rare 2 door rubicon, so i have petrol, just to do V8, as i have already done so much to the 4 door.

Crunch the numbers. Depending on how much fabrication you have done to your car it might work out better to return it to stock and sell it as a perfectly good diesel. Then buy yourself a 3.8 with a stuffed engine. It will be a lot of work but the difference in price between a working diesel and a dead petrol would be significant.

A rebuilt diesel engine is worth nearly 10k. He could sell a good used engine for at least 5k. Would have to take that into consideration when crunching the numbers.

Also im not 100% sure but would you have to replace the fuel lines and fuel tank? Or will flushing them out be enough? To prevent diesel contaminating the petrol

Not really a V8 swap, but one of your fellow countrymen, (on a US forum, that shall remain nameless) did a 4.0l six swap.

Not sure if anyone over here has done a diesel to petrol swap as they a very fond of their diesels over here.

Default DIESEL TO v8

Main problem is i installed Offroad Evolution King coil overs all around, so no spring turrets to fit spring back on.
MPG means nothing, i only drive it weekends, wouldnt mind the diesel if ti sounded better. My daily drive is a Ford Ranger with the 3.2 5 cylinder in it, auto, if a Jeep came with that, you wouldnt ever think of putting a V8 in, or the Land Rover V6 or V8 diesel, it isnt like just having a 4 pot gives good MPG, i just amble about but still only get 22MPG.

Just thinking that there may be limited facilities/parts/expertise avail in the UK, plus what you're suggesting is not a very common change-over.

See if Mike's Offroad (Burnsville) can offer any ideas.
