Default Clutch Master Cylinder

New Jeep girl to the forum....and I need some help

Not sure if anyone has any info on these, but any help will be much appreciated....
I bought a 2002 KJ Cherokee CRD 2.5lt about 12 months ago (which has been an excellent car), just recently the clutch master cylinder decided it was going to spring a leak....so this is where the problem begins!
I have searched and searched and searched and cannot find any parts for this thing! The master cylinder and the slave apparently is all one sealed, pre bled unit and Jeep want around $760 for it and two weeks to deliver. You can't use a seal kit, these things are made of plastic, every after market part I find is for left hand drive or if it is right hand drive, it's not suitable for diesel.

I have contacted many different parts suppliers here (Aus) and in the US and I keep coming up with nothing!

Thought I would see if anyone has any info, so thanks in advance

hi Karen
Plenty of info on the KJ forum if you go back a few months. Will have a look and see what date they appeared. Where the hell are you?

Welcome Karen !
These plastic throw away clutch hydraulics are a PITA. Your problem is most likely a seal. If you know an old clutch & brake place they may be able to supply just the seal ~ $5. If the bore of the master is damaged it is a bit harder. You can purchase for ~ $20 a master for a caravan brake. The bolt holes will be different but it can be adapted. You will need the fitting for the line & join the plastic line to it.
Depending on your location, Dave at wooders in Sydney, he is on AJOR or DBOR in Melbourne may be able to help.
