XJ running s'house on petrol

Hi I mostly run on gas but when I run out I have to switch to petrol. I am finding that when I pull up it misses like mad. Engine revs up a slows down real bad between 300revs and 1000revs. Almost like its running out of fuel and then the fuel gets sucked back up again. No problems while driving and even while sitting still if you keep it above 1500revs it will run fine. But sometimes when I pull up at the lights it will do the fast slow rev thing and more often lately konk out.

Not had much experience with LPG but I've heard that is better to use the car on petrol and gas on 50% basis. If used to long on gas the gaskets in the fuel system get dry and shrink or crack .

What I understood with dual fuel, is that you need to regularly switch between the two.
Just thinking here: maybe after ever-so-many start-ups, the ECU has learned to trim for the LPG (much like when it 'relearns' after a reset, when it takes 20 (or what was it?) start-up's to get things right. Dont know, just a thought.

Mine does the same. I thought it was more likely a build up of burnt carbon on the injector nozzles. Problem disappears after 5 - 10 minutes or so.

did you ever get a code reader that could read the engine sensor parameters in real time?

Yerr mine does that. I do run petrol once a week for 30-50mins, which was the recommendation. It used to clear up but last time I switch it ran awful for the whole time. Might have to take it in and get it diagnosed.
