2.7 Turbo Cartridge Replacement
So the design of our 2.7 CRD turbos is to have a "cartridge" that can be replaced. It's the bearing, shaft, turbine, and compressor part. It seems some part numbers are different on ours from those in the E and ML Class cars as well as the Sprinters. As a result, there are cartridges for those "more common" cars and not for our Jeeps. Can anyone comment on whether any of those cartridges fit our turbos? It's a lot better for me (in Kyrgyzstan) to do the replacement that way then to have it rebuilt using questionable local techniques.
And yes, my turbo is completely done (when the engine failed, the turbo died of oil starvation).
