Have followed a few threads on changing trailer hubs to suit rims. As have recently purchased a trailer was wondering if anyone has some advice re cheapish, easy & legal was to get 17" JK rims onto the trailer.

The cost of changing over and getting new hubs drilled and studs to match your vehicle would be offset by just carrying another spare tyre and keeping your fingers crossed. Besides, if you go to sell your trailer in the future and someone without a Jeep stud pattern wants to buy it (more of them than us) it will devalue the whole thing in their eyes
I plan on using a set of one piece spacer/adapters to change from Ford 4.5" PCD to Jeep's 5" PCD on my box trailer.
Its only a small, light box trailer that won't be carrying much weight, so I don't see a problem with spacer/adapters.
Many trailer places will be able to drill a blank for you. If you are concerned about resale maybe keep the old ones. Surely can't be that expensive. Having matching wheels is a great advantage when very remote.
