Default Seat Swap

Hey,

just wondering if any of you guys out there have swapped the seats in your TJ with those of a commodore.

My TJ drivers seat is toast so i need to swap it, and I found some decent SAAS seats on gumtree with commodore rails on them.

Looking for any tips here, or any seats that you guys have swapped for.

Thanks

Have thought of doing similar, but always had concerns about the seats folding forward mechanism.

I know what you mean. I intend to keep the original "tumble" rails in the jeep and mount them to the rails on the new seats. It may involve re-drilling some of the rails or adding a piece or two.

But hopefully nothing major will need to be added

Swapped mine for a set of leather seats from a Grand Chero. Far more comfortable, straight swap, nice and cheap.

Hi,
If you want to stick with the original seats, I have both front seats (plus the back) available if needed? PM if interested. Cheers

I also have a spare set of TJ seats sitting on the shelf for just incase I wanted to modify the interior of my TJ.
# 2 x front seats complete, just bolt them in..
# 1 x rear seat complete, just bolt it in.
# Colour sand gold (I think, its been over 12 months since I have looked at them)
# condition :- like new ( when put on the shelf over 12 months ago).
# came out of a 2006 TJ with under 60,000 klm.
they are a more modern & fancier shape than the ones from my 2003 TJ.

I don't think I will ever use them if you want them make a sensible offer.
location is Brisbane south.
call me don't PM me.
Ian 0428422749.
cheers piggy.
